Do you own an amplifier that has a channel selector foot switch ?
How about some of those vintage effects with remote switching jacks ?
Ever run into a unit that requires momentary action switching ?

This is a must for your Rack system! The ability to midi control amplifier channel switching, tremolo and reverb on your favorite vintage amplifier or any remote jack from your non-midi effects, etc.

Simply put, the Midi Switcher is a group of isolated electronic relays that have been interfaced with the Midi protocol. After examination of the pedalset, or consulting your manual of the unit to be switched, ascertain if the footswitch or remote jack is mono or stereo. This will determine the desired number of switches and cabling type. An example would be the (3 function) stereo jack of the Kitty Hawk Apache Amplifier. With a simple stereo to mono "Y’ cable, the Apache can be midi programmed to switch between clean, dirty or boost channels on any given preset with 2 of the Midi Switcher’s switches. How about some amplifiers that require momentary switch action such as the Rivera Amplifiers. In addition to the 5 On/Off switches, the Midi Switcher provides 2 extra switches dedicated to momentary (split second switch closure contact) action.

Included in this unit is a handy A/B switch enabling a guitar signal to be routed to 2 different amplifiers for On/Off control. Use it as a splitter to run 2 amplifiers simultaneously, or as a "Mute Switch". The A/B switch can also be used in reverse, switch between 2 pre-amplifier outputs to 1 power amplifier input.

Here’s the biggy! Programming. Don’t laugh! When you turn on the Midi Looper it is already in "Preset Protect Mode". To engage or disengage any Effects Loop or A/B switch, depress the two outside momentary buttons (marked "1" and "B", located on the right side of the front panel) simultaneously. This sets the Midi Looper to "Program Entry Mode". Move from preset to preset via a midi controller (such as the Kitty Hawk Midi Flight Path) (LINK), engaging any combination of Effects Loops1 through 6 or A/B switch settings from the front panel LED Display switches. All switch settings are stored as soon as you enter them. When you are finished, power the Midi Looper off to preserve your switch settings. Powering the Midi Looper on again will recall all settings per preset, as you originally entered them. Remember, in order to modify any preset you must return to "Program Entry Mode". This is to protect your presets from accidental changes. This programming method is common to all Kitty Hawk Midi Controlled equipment. Painless, wasn't it?

For adaptation to a midi systems, we suggest incorporating a Kitty Hawk Midi Switcher or Midi Looper to your setup for additional control of the Stage 2003 Channel Select, vintage pedals, effects, remote functions, etc.

For a can’t miss visual display, check out the Kitty Hawk Midi Flight Path . A 100 preset, rugged steel chassis, sloped front , footcontroller, with two 7segment L.E.D. displays (2 3/8in. x 31/2in.) guaranteed to landmark your preset anywhere on the stage!

Extensive Multi-Effects and Processor users may want to explore the benefits of a Kitty Hawk Midi Looper . One or more devices connected to your amplifier Input or Effect Loop can seriously degrade audio quality. The use of a Kitty Hawk Looper will enable you to engage and disengage devices in signal path, function as a silent tuner, mute switch and much more!
