An amplifier with more bottom-end power was the request from our Kitty Hawk followers. We met the challenge and for our own satisfaction, added a little head room for good measure. Every Bass Quake amplifier is equipped with a road defiant 14 gauge steel chassis, precision balanced hand-wound transformers, high spec. 12AX7 pre-amplifier tubes, matched-pair 6550 output power tubes and a guarantee to put any solid-state amplifier to shame! Only precision audio grade components and hand soldered assembly are permitted in the manifestation of the Kitty Hawk Bass Quake.

Maybe you’re wondering what makes the amplifier so special? Well, we’ve taken out the unnecessary electronics, such as redundant gain stages, tone control sections, over-designed circuit protection to produce a dynamic response, uncolored power amplifier. Clean ,raw power with only a presence and volume control is our philosophy. That’s what makes the Bass Quake Power Amplifier so unique!

With safety in mind, input AC is fuse protected and a Mains Fuse protection (between tubes and output transformer) has been added to the rear panel. Both channels are fused independently allowing continued usage should a problem arise on the opposing channel (such as a broken tube). Input patching has been made easy with availability of front and rear panel jacks. The Bass Quake can be configured to run as a mono 2channel or stereo amplifier. Speaker impedance selections are offered on the rear panel with 4, 8 and 16 ohm taps to accommodate a wide variety of loudspeaker and wiring configurations.
